Training Tip Thursday: The Tabata Trend

Bored of your workouts? Looking to spice it up?

This week’s newest Training Tip Thursday:

Try Tabata Training.

In case you are wondering what the heck that is, its a form of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that works both the aerobic systems AND the anaerobic systems. Tabata’s 4 minute-highly-effectiveness has made it quite the trend in the fitness industry.


Four minutes to work out?! That’s INSANE. But its the truth! 
You choose one to four exercises (vary it up between cardio & weight training) and put forth as much effort as possible for 20 full seconds. Rest for 10 seconds & repeat 8 times for a total of 4 full minutes (or ONE full Tabata).
